To All Grand-Mothers

Although what I am about to share is not necessarily a poem, it is at least poetic. A dear member of our family was going through a difficult time and I felt like the Lord wanted to share this with her. At the same time I felt like maybe the Lord has someone else he wants to speak this over as well. It was inspired by women of the Bible and women in my life. I hope it blesses you and that you might share it with someone else!

A Mighty Oak
My sweet, cherished daughter, you have been a pillar of strength. You have been an oak tree for your family. For years you have grown in faith and your roots have continued to grow deeper and deeper into my love for you. From the mutual love we share together, seeds of love have fallen from your tree: seeds of your faithfulness, strength and love. These seeds have sprouted in the lives of your loved ones, and they will continue to grow long after you are gone until they become a mighty grove. In the forest of your faithfulness not only your loved ones but also strangers will find rest, refuge, and restoration. The eternal seeds that have been planted through your loving generosity and heart for Jesus will be a living reminder for the world to love the Lord God with all your heart. I see you. I delight in you. You are mine.
